Giving saline, rice starch, or any other pure drink to a patient suffering from diarrhea will reduce salt and water deficiency in the body. However, if the deficit is high, then cholera saline should be given.

If the child has diarrhea, special care should be taken at home. Such as:
Repeatedly eat saline. Babies under six months of age should be fed only breast milk and saline. More liquid foods such as rice starch, Chira water, coconut water should be eaten. Before preparing food, the baby should wash his hands with soap before feeding and go to the toilet.
