DoctorinBD.com tells you where a doctor sits and what they treat. That is all it does, and it is deliberate.
If you are unwell and looking for the right specialist in your own district, this site exists to answer one question quickly: who is there, and how do I reach them.
What you will find here
- Specialist doctors listed by department and district, across Bangladesh.
- Their qualifications as their chamber publishes them.
- The chamber they sit in, its address where it is published, and the number to ring for a serial.
- The date each listing was last checked, printed on the page, so you know how old the information is.
What we do not do
This is the part most sites are vague about, so we will be plain.
- We do not give medical advice. There is no doctor on our staff, and nothing on this site is a diagnosis or a recommendation. If you are ill, see a qualified doctor. In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital.
- We do not take appointments and we do not book anything. We print the chamber’s number and you ring it yourself.
- We are not owned by, paid by, or affiliated with any hospital, diagnostic centre or doctor. Nobody pays to be listed, and nobody can pay to be listed higher.
- We do not sell your information, because we do not ask you for any.
Where the information comes from
Doctors are collected from what hospitals, diagnostic centres and medical colleges publish about their own consultants. We go to the institution itself rather than copying another directory, because a copied mistake stays a mistake, and in this subject a mistake means somebody unwell travelling to the wrong place.
When a source does not publish something, we leave it blank and say so. Many listings have no BMDC registration number and no visiting hours, because the chambers do not publish them. We would rather show you an honest gap than a confident guess.
The order doctors appear in
Listings are ordered by the academic or hospital rank a doctor holds, then their postgraduate qualifications, then years of practice. Those are facts you can check for yourself.
There are no star ratings on this site. We have not treated anybody, we have not surveyed patients, and inventing a score out of five would be dishonest.
If something here is wrong
Tell us and we will correct it. This matters most to the doctors themselves: if you are listed here and a detail is out of date, or you would rather not be listed at all, write to us and we will fix or remove it.
Chamber hours change without notice. Always ring the chamber before you travel.
